About this site
This page has been put together by Irene Peroni and Dag Svanæs to document a debate that has gradually become quite extensive in volume since the first posts in January.
With this page we hope to help those who are curious about the Norwegian debate on the COVID-19 crisis. The site does not cover all aspects of the debate, but includes primarily columns and interviews by experts from several fields who have been critical of the authorities' handling of the pandemic.
Irene Peroni is an Italian journalist living in Oslo. She followed the dramatic news coming in from Italy, and eventually got in touch with several of the authors who shared her concerns from an international perspective.
Dag Svanæs is professor of informatics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. He became involved in the coronavirus debate in March, and has been particularly interested in the models and coronavirus strategy of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI).
